Is there a DIY on checking wheather engine oil is still good or not, thanks

Look at mileage, and change when it's due for it.

The reason I'm asking is becasue I have 5 qt of never open Mobil 1 full synethetic that have been sitting in basement for god knows how long. I want to use them but afraid basement's wet and damp environment have containmenated those engine oil and that's why I want to test them before using them.

If the oil is in the original plastic containers, nothing is going to soak into and through the plastic. So no need to worry about that.
