Im thinking of getting a chip for the ecu that improves mpg for the car, is there one for this car? and is it safe and how much would it cost?

This might be where the search tool or trying Scion Life might be a good place to go. As far as I know, there's still no chip, but things change. A lot of people use a dashboard tuner, but I'm not sure if that's the same thing. Piggy-backing ECU's is also done for those with boost or ITB's.
