Has any one installed clearance lights on their taco? I was thinking about installing a set of 5 yellow clearance lights. Would like to see pictures if any one has any.

pretty sure he was talking about the amber lights on the roof like you see on some full sized trucks.

Ah, yes I see, I guess I never would think about adding such lights to my truck. But, than again, would this not make more of a clearance issue........Hmm, maybe I am just not getting it.

I haven't done it yet, but have been researching. I don't have clearance issues, I just like the looks of clearance lights. I like the 02-08 Ram-style more than the Fords or Chevys, but I don't want something too big. Optronics makes a tear-drop set that looks about right. When I finally get around to getting the balls to drill 5 or more holes in my roof, I'll go with something similar. I saw a late 80s Toyota Pickup the other day with clearance lights....looked sweet!

may i suggest you mock them up before you drill holes in your roof it would save the "OMG!!! what have i done!?!?!?:cursin::headbang:" if you don't like it

LOL! Good tip! I'd planned on sticking them on there with some double-sided tape for a few days just to see how they looked.

So, did you try? I also like the looks of it, but dont want to be a guinea pig!! I have even thought about adding them to the factory roof rack. I would much rather drill into that. I think adding them flush might be ok into the oe rack.

This just sparked my interest again after seeing a newer Power Wagon at the auto show with them.

I wouldn't do it. A taco is a taco- you can't make it a full size.
Leave the clearance lights to the 3/4-ton+ diesel trucks. :thumbsup:

Your point? These are pickup trucks, not Carollas. I could care less if I put something on the truck that cost me a fraction of my fuel economy.

I agree whole heartedly we drive freakin trucks if you didn't want to waste gas, haul crap, and put big ass muddin tires on it why didn't you buy a camry?!
