Clicking noise when steering

Lately ive been hearing this clicking noise when I steer at low speed or when im stopped. I installed TRD springs back in July but there was no problem until now. I started noticing this problem once I got my alignment done about 1 month ago. Anybody have any idea what might be the clicking noise? I hear it in the front...possibly left side by the wheel.

It could be the steering intermediate shaft. Take it to the dealership to get a proper diagnosis of the problem.
Even though it's a fairly new car, have you ruled out a torn cv boot, thus a bad axel since it's clicking now?
I dont think its torn because it drives perfectly if I'm going over 10 mph...but if i take it to the dealer wouldn't they blame it on the TRD springs?

No, TRD is a Toyota approved part and does not void warranty or has any negative effect they can blame. I even had them installed at the dealer. Let a professional take a look and insist on the test drive to demonstrate the issue you are experiencing.
I took my car in for an oil change and asked them if they could take a look at the noise...turns out to be that the Steer shaft is messed up. They have to replace it. They ordered the part so I should be taking it in next week to have it replaced.

I have the same noise. So I will have my guys double check and then order the parts.
I took my car in last friday and got my steer shaft replaced but the noise is still there. U can hear it low most of the time but sometimes it gets really loud and it scares me. I was able to record it tonight when it was going crazy as I was steering. Check it out. Put speakers on loud. Pay attention to the pounding sound it makes when I steer. Any suggestions?

is noise coming from the top of the strut? and it sound like from the spring.
Anybody???
Yes, it's your Mods.
This happens to me too.... i just turn the music louder :D
It could really be my springs? But why do I only hear it when I steer? i push my car up and down myself hard and i hear nothing. And I had my springs on for 5 months with no problems
O.K look like we have the same problem but I got it fixed. Before I tell u which part to replace,is the sound come just by turning the wheel without moving the car i.e getting into parking space or making a 3 point turn.
I have the SAME exact problem! I also have TRD springs installed and it started a few months ago with that sound. I only notice it when I am either stopped or moving slowly. I have not bought it to the dealer yet, but if you do then please keep us posted!
Well I've TRD spring too , whoever changes the to the lower spring soon or later they will have the same problem. Is the bearing in between the shock and the top mount,is a cheap part but can't use toyota part the sound will come back after a while. They been using the same bering since the 90s that should tell u why u can't use it!!!!!!
Yeah I only hear it when I'm driving slow or the car is stopped as I'm turning the steering wheel. So I would have to replace that bearing with a non toyota bearing? Where could I get that?
Look I went though 2 PAIRS of the same bearings. Tell u what why not change the bareing frist see sound is still there. If your car is an i4 the bearing will last longer than the V6 . This problem will keep coming back until u find a more heavy duilty bearing.
That figures, and of course to install it yourself with an aftermarket one you would need to remove the entire wheel and strut assembly. You might as well just go and get some coilovers.
so Im guessing if I take it to the dealer they'll say its not covered by warranty anymore?
