And yet they'll claim that the colder temperatures are due to global warming via climate change. They've done that more than once here in America to "explain" deep cold snaps.

I can't wait till the new Maunder Minimum sets in the next few decades and the Thames, Seine, and Potomac freeze solid in the winters, and no doubt they'll still be talking about the Earth getting hotter. Never argue with religious fanatics.

Would have been perfect if they had taken to rubber life boats to get away, and then were attacked by a pod of Orcas. I realize there has never been a verified attack of killer whales on human beings, but the "what if" would have been beautiful if benign nature had taken its pound of flesh at the same time climate change zealots were escaping from an ice disaster. :)

That sounds right. The Mid West and East coast are supposed to be colder and more wetter (snow) than usual according to the Farmer's Almanac. So why shouldn't the UK and Europe get some of that cold too? That's the thing I like about the Farmer's Almanac, it doesn't take all of the climate change hype when it makes a prediction. It's uses scientific readings (actual), and some sort of special computations to come up with their forcast. They're more often right than the national weather service. But then they've been doing it for almost 200 years too. ;)

Of course you do understand that the colder temperatures are only thanks to the efforts of the responsible followers of the Save the Planet at all Costs, Including Loss of Human Life groups. Without them the seas would be boiling right as we speak. ;)

What I fear is what will happen once they get their Climate Inquisition going and we're both found guilty of not caring enough about Mother Gaia.

Isn't it incredible how much greater accuracy they get when they use actual scientific data?!? Definitely better than predicting the weather off of emotional models.

WOW!! That might work in California where it's always sunny and no rain, but try that in the northern mid west, and you'll watch heating bills triple or more. In fact a lot of our old coal fired electric plants have switched over to natural gas and even have catalytic converters on them to help scrub the exhaust clean. The feds won't let us build another clean running nuke plant.
Why does all of this "supposedly clean energy have to cost us so much? Aren't the Democrats getting enough money from the corporations they supposedly support?

According to Elizabeth Warren in particular, no. Let's not forget she states if elected president she will push through an act of Congress called the Accountable Capitalism Act that intends to tax all American's estates of any size (house, IRA, 401K, and all other assets) by several percent each year because all that wealth you acquired over 40, 50, 60 years of working (assuming you're working and not sucking off the government tit) and paid all due taxes on it is basically a crime against your fellow Americans. How dare you not be forced to share that wealth, so Warren intends to tax all your assets each year. So one supposes corporations are not bled enough of money in America. The money for "free" everything has got to come from somewhere.

Is she or Bernie going to lead by example? If not, then why bother, unless it's an act to legally steal from the American citizens.

On a directly related subject regarding how clean nuclear power is still widely rejected by Democrats and/or "climate change" zealots. From the Wall Street Journal's opinion section:

Of course not. If you recall a few years back when insider trading was the quasi-scandal du jour in Congress, several members of Congress flat out said in interviews that they would not stop acting on--and gaining financially--from what they learn in Congressional hearings, et al. Yes, you the everyday citizen must obey the law and the federal government will throw the book at you for insider trading, yet, as always, they're exempt.

One can argue the time frame it happened, but at some point the powers-that-be in Washington and, frankly, many levels of government in America stopped becoming our elected representatives and became our rulers. The only time they "fear" the public is at voting time, but that is a false fear because if they lose office, sure, they lose that direct power over the public, but they walk away with a big, fat Congressional pension and a cushy job at a lobby firm or else corporate board. Personally, I think this paradigm change came about due to three things that have created a vicious cycle that has made government our rulers: An apathetic public made lazy by enjoying the most comfortable lives human beings have ever known; politicians emboldened by a government (most especially at the federal and state levels) so massive that the public is both physically and legally unable to confront politicians and bureaucrats with grievances; lastly, a society that breeds sheeple to be compliant and not make waves or stand out from the herd, lest either social media or government crack down on you like a load of bricks.

The reality in America today is, welcome to the world's largest banana republic. The only thing that separates us from Venezuela or Zimbabwe is the amount of money involved and the number of citizens involved.

Thank You for putting it so precise and eloquently.

I saw somewhere yesterday that BHO wanted to build more Nuke power plants, along with clean nat gas ones, but the environmentalists in California wouldn't let anything happen with it. They were even threatening to sue him over it.

The United States is actually operating below the goals of the Paris Accord without even being in that stupid deal. China and the UK pollute more than the US. If the President made the wrong decision staying out of it then maybe you should leave the country for China. They cant even see a mile.
