Haven't had to change these yet. Sounds to me the filiments are just making contact so that they will light. (Just changed these bulbs out on my wife's honda; not easy!) As to the Taco, I'm sure it will be a job. (Also just changed my bulb in the hazard switch. $14.00 from the $tealer.
