I have a 94 3VZ-E with 211,000 miles. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes when the the engine is cold and I put it into drive, the car doesn't want to move. Its in gear and sounds fine, but feels like the brake is still on. The only way to get it to move is give it more gas than normal. When I do that I hear a loud "clunk" noise from the back and then it moves fine. If I brake hard after that, it all happens again. As the engine warms up it seems to stop doing this. I never have my parking brake on. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

When was the last time you had the trans serviced?
