Do you guys ever tried to swap an instrument cluster from a 2nd gen Paseo into a 5th gen Tercel? Just for the tach it would be very handy.

I suspect that the wiring isn't a perfect fit, so that would be great if you guys know and wish to share about that.

I go to junk yards every once in a while, I can propably find one easily.

Yes it fits. Use near same year for best results.

Are you sure that there is no changes to make with the wiring?

As for the year, you suggest that I take the cluster from a '97 Paseo to ensure it will work on my Tercel?

Sometimes wiring can't be avoided but using the same year minimalizes that issue.
