If you got it from Bomex, I had the same situation and I had no idea where to put it. I just made sure I tightened the screws every few weeks and I never had problems with it feel insecure, so you're probably okay.
Its the ones you can find on ebay. Just go on and look at them, they only have one kind on there.
yeah I just wished someone now makes one from the intake plenum and down under the battery in a straight shot with 1 or 2 bends to an open filter element located behind the bumper openingEL Prototypes used to, or there's always interfoolers...
Edit: The stock airbox inlet already pulls air from fender-level. The only detriment to efficiency is the ten million piping bends and dead-ends it's forced to take first.
no, on the 7th gen the OEM intake takes it from a small scoop near the headlight, down under the battery tray, past a very large resonator in the fender well/behind the bumper, and up into the air box.OEM intake takes its air from there.
Then what's with the inlet in the far right side of the bumper opening that feeds into that resonator box? I think that 'scoop' is another part of the resonance system, as I taped over that a long time ago and never noticed any change.no, on the 7th gen the OEM intake takes it from a small scoop near the headlight, down under the battery tray, past a very large resonator in the fender well/behind the bumper, and up into the air box.
