I had toyota diagnose a hard start issue as the Cold start injector. I also wanted them to diagnose my trucks problem with its power dropping off while I am driving it. They say this is cold start as well. Could it be? The truck kind of dies out like it is not getting fuel. It will actually under acceleration with the pedal TO THE FLOOR only accelerate a VERY little bit. I did not know if this would be the same problem or 2 different ones. The new injector is on its way so I will know soon but I wanted to get your opinions.

Cold start injector and cold start injector time switch (orange colored sensor located below oil filler cap) are designed to run for the first 5 seconds or so during initially start up but during regular driving they don't operate or affect operation. I would pull the ECU codes and measure voltages/resistances on ECU and compare with FSM (factory service manual).

For ECU pulling procedures and free FSM download see my other recent replies which include links to downloads for free.
