Cold Startup Rpms for 1998 2.2 Camry

For a 1998 Camry 2.2 automatic what is suppose to be the initial rpms when you start the car up after it sits all night. The outside temp being about 50. This is in regard to a friend of mines car.

This car is doing about 1500 for about a minute before it starts to drop down towards 1000.
