Where should I look for the source of a leak of the air conditioning gas on a 2001 Sienna?

Are there specific seals or places it tends to leak? I looked all over for signs of oil on something readily visible and came up empty handed.

Our 98 Sienna quit blowing cold. Could never find a leak. Mechanic put dye in it to track leak. It never leaked that summer. Next spring same thing no refrigerant. Mechanic recharged and put more dye in. 3 years later still blows ice cold.

I suggest posting this in the Gen 3 Camry forum. They share many of the parts and that forum gets much more traffic than this one.

A/C leak diagnosis

I chased this problem myself 4 years ago with my 1st gen. 3.0 V6. The shop "fixed" the problem by replacing a 2 dollar gasket, vac'n the system, and charging me $100+ The subsequent three years I have been able to recharge the system myself for a fraction of the cost. My understanding is that you can recharge with kits for 2-3 years (with a slow leak) until needing vac'd again. Hope this helps!
