i agree with some of the gripes with the FJ....the handling is terrible and it has some realy poor visability...it does however look pretty cool and do pretty well off the beaten path...but still its less than desirable to be driving every day.

Not surprised by the Yaris... it isn't a horrible car at all, IMO not up to the level of the Fit, which looks much more expensive than its pricetag. FJ Cruiser never been my thing, it's kinda a fad car like the PT Cruiser and Mini Cooper were years back. Otherwise, the other cars on the list weren't surprises either, especially the Trailblazer. They've been uncompetitive for years.

Wow the Yaris, really? I think it's a pretty nice car for someone who needs something mind numbingly basic, not being sarcastic either. Good for the money, great mpg, decent space for storage and 1 passenger 2 kids, small size makes it great for the city driving/parking. WTF?!

lol, I feel you. Like Echo said, there wasn't a whole lot mentioned about it. CR is garbage.

This is kind of why I think CR is stupid.

Note that most of the vehicles on that list are SUVs. Then under the "Lows" they all list fuel mileage, ride, handling and noise. You don't say? BOF SUVs can use more fuel and not ride and handle as nice? Bigger tires make more road noise? Woah....

The brand with more worst cars....JEEP. Congratulations.

Poor aveo :lol::lol:

Hummer H3...u deserve it buddy, no doubt! :thumbup:

FJ cruiser one of the worst cars? Im not sure, anyway, I dont like it at all.

Yaris...oh what a surprise! Interesting that they complain about its acceleration, but an automatic equipped yaris faired better in their rank.

Theres something wrong when the Sebring isn't on this list. It was most certainly the most awful car I've been inside in a long time, even the depressing old Malibu had a price tag to match its depressing interior.

The Sebring does suck for a "new" car! I drove one on a trip 5 hours each way.....and I couldn't help but notice how much more comfortable my 1993 Camry was!

I love the info about the yaris:

"It actually ranks at the top of the list in both reliability and low cost of ownership, but those factors are not included in Consumer Reports' basic vehicle score."

^ So what DID their include in the vehicle score? Reliability should be pretty fucking central to ANY car revue IMO.

This list looked like it was based more off of consumer reports test score. They always have test score and reliablitity/cost of ownership scores seperate. This means that the road tests may have not made the FJ Cruiser or Yaris shine, but they still both scored extremely well in reliablity and the Yaris in cost of ownership. I'm not surprised the FJ Cruiser is great off road bad on road, it seems like it would be based on looks/design. The front end of the Yaris isn't my favorite, and though it may not have superior handling or acceleration, that is not really what it is meant for. The Yaris will still get you from point A to B every day without problems for relatively low cost. Definately a confusing article, title of "Worst cars" is bad, "Worst test scores" would have been more helpful. I think Consumer Reports is still reputable, like when they say the worst SUV's got poor gas milage or noise, they are comparing to other SUV's not just saying SUV's suck on gas in general. Don't cast these Toyota's aside, this article was just a little misleading.

do you really expect the Aveo and the Yaris to have any great accelration at all? They are econo cars. Is CR ran by a bunch of highly trained monkeys or something? Not surprised by the Nitro. It looks so ugly.
