2006 Highlander South Florids
I'm looking at putting 18 inch steel snow wheels on my Highlander ($75 each) the Conti Extreme Contact tires on it. Has anyone fitted their ride with these snow wheels? Summit Racing sells them.

What do the wheels look like? A similar alternative and possibly a cheap one (shipping & all) could be Dodge Charger Pursuit 18x7.5” police steelies. These look really nice and are pretty light for a steel wheel. They are also super durable incl their paint! You’ll probably want hub centric rings with those though

Edit: Maybe not, I just remembered the Charger’s bolt pattern is 5x115 vs our 5x114.3

This is the style I'm looking for. Only issue is I need to buy one then get a used 235/55x18 tire and see if it actually fits the front. This place wants $1,800 for wheels and tires. Just had an alignment and was told the inner tie rods "are getting close." I checked. They are my next repair.

are they asking about the tires or the rims?

Ive heard great things about those tires, though, they are geared towards light snow and general "wintery conditions".
Wait
Are you in south Florida??? and youre looking at snow tires...???

the tires should be fine as they are a very conservative winter tire. (not twin peak rated iirc).

i used to use the extreme contact DW and i loved them. summer only tire.

ahh i see.

thought you were asking about the tire itself. ill see myself out as i have no useful info as to weather this set up will fit on that car.

whats your stock tire size? you can calculate how wide and tall the new set up will be to see if its wider or taller than your current setup and go from there.

The OD and Width of the stock 16-inch and the Conti 18 inch are within 0.1-inch of each other. The Conti Extreme Contact stick to the road better than any tire I've found. I hope I never need snow tires. Just looking for a cheap way to test fit.
