convertible/seat covers/airbag deployment

I would like to install seatcovers on our 07 convertible. There are side airbags in the seats. The covers that I have been looking at have a 1 foot long velcro closure along the upper part of the vertical seam, extending over the top. Is that, in fact, where the air bag deploys?
