99 corolla le--I just change the coolant--used the red stuff --it had the yellow in it previously-- I need to change the coolant in the overflow tank--do I have to remove the tank to do that.

This is the wrong forum. You should post in the Corolla 8th Generation forum if you have a 1999.

I'm guessing ou should be able to remove the overflow tank easily and dump the old coolant out. On the 6th and 7th gens it just slides up off of the bracket near the battery. I'm not sure if the 8th gen is the same.

Just buy a turkey baster (available at the dollar store) and suck all the old fluid out.Beats removing it!:smile:

If your going to do something, do it right.:grin:

Remove Battery hold down bracket.
Remove battery.
Remove battery mounting plate.
Remove screws from Coolant Overflow Tank, and pull up towards you.
Drain, rinse and install in reverse order.
Sit back and be comforted that you did something correctly, not half-fassed !
