I have a 96 corolla, recently it started to overheat and now when i get home and park up water bubbles out of the water reservior, but the temperature gauge is normal when its doing that. Im not sure if the head gasket, or thermostat is bad plz help

Bubbles are not a good sign. When pulling the plugs see if one or more plug electrodes are cleaner then they should be, steam cleaned.

A radiator shop can test the coolant for exhaust gases, auto parts store may have a kit for home use.
