Bubbles are not a good sign. When pulling the plugs see if one or more plug electrodes are cleaner then they should be, steam cleaned.

A radiator shop can test the coolant for exhaust gases, auto parts store may have a kit for home use.
how many miles are on this corolla?
update? I want to know more about the bubbles
