Corolla 2001 > Avensis 2012 (what do you think?)

I've always drove a 2001/2002 Corolla sedan from Japan. It's a 1.3ltr (2NZ-FE) engine and never had any big issues with it. Today it has 165,000 KM and still running good.

I was however looking at a second hand Avensis 2012 1.8ltr CVT and liked the car. It has 95,000 KM on the clock.


What are your thoughts about such a move? Would I be better off sticking with the current Corolla until it starts giving issues, or is the Avensis as good (in terms of reliability)?
