I am trying to get a round about figure on what a used transfer case would cost for a 1999 tacoma 4cyl, automatic? and they are listed with and w/o diff lock? i dont know which one i have. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have done that already local junkyard says $650 and craiglist is about $150 that why i am trying to find the range through my fellow truck brothers and sisters. How do i find out if i have differental lock or not? Go to my local toyota dealer give them the vin? Help will be appreciated

The transfer case is the same with or without the rear locker. If you had a locker in your truck you would have a button on the dash that says RR Diff Lock. As far as price goes dig around on craigs list until you find one at a price you are willing to pay.
