ive seen dome advertisments that say coilkovers offer no sacrifice in ride quality. that you can have basically stock ride quality with a lower car. any truth to this? also i understand you can adjust the height? how easy is it to do this? can you raise or lower them relativly easy or do you set it once and thats it?

the ride isn't going to be as "cushy" as stock.....and it isnt a piece of cake to adjust the height, its certainy do-able, but i would say maybe 35 minutes at least to change the ride height.....

clarkgrizwald if your down, im down hahaha....Im really debating lowering my camry, but if im going to do it Id rather do it with coilovers....I just need to take a ride in a camry that has coilovers so i can feel the ride and see if thats exactly what I want :clap:

i just have TRD springs on oem SE struts and i still have a nice cushy ride, more agressive handling (i also have TRD rsb) and overall it feels quite a bit stiffer
nice drop as well

coilovers are a lot stiffer than just springs.
after having the coils in my car for sometime now, i can say there is a definite distinction between this and lowering springs. even at the softest setting, they will still be a tad bit stiffer than springs.

this is due to the spring rates being higher than stock struts/shocks. also because there is less room for play in the shorter shocks and springs that the coils come with.
this is based on my experience with my car.

you just have to debate form over comfort.

as for adjustment, most coils are easy to adjust. merely jack the car up, remove the wheel and adjust the length of the shock/strut/coil.

Definitely go with full coilovers if you want a springs/shocks combo.
