After paying more for the repairs than i did for the truck,i have found another problem.
Im getting noise from behind the crankshaft pulley. It sounds like a bad bearing or something. What could this be?

you can certianly pull the oil pump off without taking the waterpump and timing cover off. However the pump gearset runs against the front face of the timing cover so you have to check for wear on this face. If there are large grooves, gouges or gaulding you need to replace the timing cover or hav it resurfaced.

It was the water pump. I only figured it out whe i opened the hood and noticed the fan flopping around.
