Ha! Solved the crappy wireless charging deck. MagSafe charger secured with Velcro. Easy to remove phone from magnet without pulling Velcro apart. Console closes easily. Cord is secured in the wall of the console and under the deck with duct tape to keep it out of the way when getting into the lower bin but with enough slack to fully lift the deck.
If the Velcro gives me any issues I’ll secure it with double sided tape. I know that won’t come loose.
I’m using it in conjunction with a Ottocast U2 Wireless CarPlay dongle.
Added bonus, if you had a larger phone the magnet raises it up enough it wouldn’t have to sit within the confines of the deck’s cutout

Good to know there are options.
Mine is in a protective Otterbox and I get the blinking light indicating the phone is not properly lined up.
However it charges properly when I use a similar charger in the house.
Since to display the phone GPS map on the radio screen I need to use a USB cable, I decided to buy a 12" cable and put it on the shelf under the radio.
We have a 2022 XLE with the standard screen.

I use CarPlay wirelessly with an Ottocast U2 Air (2022 with 5G chipset). Works flawlessly

The 2023 Wireless charging station was moved under the instrument panel shelf.
Some reviews state that it is hard plastic and the phone slides all over the place while you drive.

Not certain if that exact model but it’s an Anker with both USB A and C. Seems most MagSafe chargers are USB C

I used the one under the center console lid in my 2022.

There is a USB plug on the storage shelf under the radio which I plug it into now. It also allows us to display the GPS on the radio.
