hi.. i'm considering buying a used yaris, mainly for my wife to drive but i will also drive it on occasion.. what year & model did they start coming with cruise ?.. i really like the RS model..

I installed cruise control on my 2010. Different years require additional wiring. The link for the 2010 install is here.

From a quick Google search, a few sites said 2012 Yaris' are the only ones that come with cruise control. Although there are many do it yourself videos out there on Youtube on how to install one.

So strange that the Yaris didn't come out with it sooner, since my 2000 Echo came with cruise control.

I didn't know the ECHO came with cruise control. Yours must be aftermarket. I know the 03-05 models had it optional I think for the 4 door only.

Oh! Interesting! I had no idea. It's always been there, so I kind of assumed it was stock.
Silly me, I should have known better since a lot of the stuff on this car wasn't stock when
I got it.
