I was asked about a grille I have on my Highlander. I made it out of two aftermarket ones. This is not my original idea I saw somebody has already done this and I really liked the looks. I used Polyvance FiberFlex to weld the pieces that I cut out from the donor grille and used ABS shavings mixed in acetone to fill in small cracks and teardrop notches. Also installed reinforcement mesh in the back. I had it professionally painted. Here are some pics from the process.

Started by cutting out the bottom piece of the logo

Used aluminum tape to hold the pieces together while welding the back

Top was the most difficult to weld as the plastic is much thinner there compared to other places and I cut a little bit too wide so it took longer since I needed to really reinforce the back of the top rail

All welded in the back!
