Hello all. I am considering purchasing HL Platinum and was wondering if there is an ability to customize features after purchase that are available only through a scan tool. If so, what are those? Does anyone have a list? When we bought our RX350 in 2017, we could come back for a free 5K maintenance and request those changes free of charge, but only once. Is there such an offering for Toyota? Thanks in advance.

The short answer to your first question is yes, there are dealer-only settings on the vehicle.
There is no short answer to your second question - it would take a lot of time and effort for someone to transcribe all that info into a forum post. But the good news is that there's a section of the owner's manual that lists all the customizable settings, indicating which are user-modifiable and which you need the dealer to set. I will leave your third question to someone else as I don't know how the dealers typically handle requests for such changes. I haven't asked for any myself, and would be interested to know what others have experienced.

That list in the manual is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. I'm sure dealers will make changes for free for the first time but will charge for more requests just like Lexus does.
