We drive with the lights in the Auto position all the time. The dashboard lights switch on like they are supposed to when it is dark, but they don't come on during the day. I believe they used to come on during the day. We checked the fuses and there are no fuses out; plus, since they do function properly at night, it doesn't seem like a fuse or relay could be out. The dimmer knob is cranked all the way up to the brightest level, but still, during the day, the gauges are not lit at all.
Has anybody heard of this before? It's a 2007 Sequoia. I read some posts about other Toyota trucks whose owners were disappointed that their new truck's dashboards don't light up during the day, but that was for models after 2013, I believe. Those trucks are not supposed to light up the dashboards during the day. I believe our truck is supposed to have a lighted dashboard, especially if we have the lights on in the Auto position.
