I have a key fob that does not work, and can't activate it, because the alarm goes off when I open the car door with key. I have a little red button that flashes when car is activated, I noticed it does push in, but still did not deactivate the alarm. I can't start the car. How do I deactivate the alarm with just my key? Do I have to have the key in the ignition, and then push the red button in? Trying to find out so 1) I can start the car, and 2) re-program the key fob without the alarm going off when I open the door. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

got it. Thank you so much. Now I can't get the key fob to re-program. Followed instructions, but a no go.
