Okay, I've given it about 3 weeks but I just hate the dead pedal in my 05. It's just way too high. Anyone know how to remove it? I've pried it a little bit but wonder if there is some fastener that I need to access from the wheel well or something.

TIA

Get a flathead screwdriver and gently pry it up around the edges and it will pop off. When you do you that you will see the 2 plastic clips on the floorboard and two small holes in the carpet where the clips attach.

Not sure how it is on the Gen 9, but I think the dead pedal in the Gen 10 is nicely sized/positioned, I just wish it didn't have the carpet coming up to the top of it. I have a feeling that carpet won't look so nice after a while.

Ahh well...

wish my AE86 had a dead pedal.
