I am in ONTARIO, CANADA and I am wondering if anyone know the dealer invoice price for a 2009 or 2010 Camry Hybrid. My company has a fleet/employee deal with a local Toyota dealer that allow us to get any Toyota 2.5% (or less) over the dealer invoice but I don't know if I should believe the dealer invoice numbers the dealer is showing me.

Do you think you can do better negotiating then settling for 2.5% over invoice. Would you please share with me what you pay for your Camry Hybrid?

Gas prices is no longer high and with the current state of economy - Do dealers still expect to make a killing on these Hybrid?

There are dealers in the United States that will sell you a 2009 for several thousand under invoice right now. (U.S. Currency) For instance, Fitzmall Toyota (fitzmall.com) is selling a few hybrids with MSRPs over $29,000 for $24,500. (That's about $2400 under invoice)

They are trying to move inventory before the 2010 hybrids arrive on the lots. Fitzmall usually sells them for under invoice anyway.

They ship within the U.S. for free- I'm not sure what they charge for Canadian shipping- or if they even sell to Canada. Check their website.

They don't ship within the US for free, that's ridiculous.................you don't pick it up, you pay for transport.

You think that 2.5% is a killing? How long will the dealer have your business if they lie to you? Why don't you tell us what the numbers he gave you are? THen we'll tell you if you're right or not.

You forgot about something called the exchange rate. Canadian dollar is worth 81% of US. How about you read the post and then decide that the US market has NOTHING to do with OP's question. Canadian Toyota sales are not down 40% like the US. At least not yet.

The dealer cost in Canada for a base TCH is about 29,600 which includes PDI and the federal surcharges. Currently there is also a 2K factory to dealer incentive on the TCH ends on Apr 30.

At 2.5% over invoice (~$750) is a fair price to the dealer to afford to stay open and be there for service and your next car as well. Could you grind out a better deal? Maybe, maybe not but at this price you walk away with a great car and a good price and the dealer is happy as well. Take it.

My experience with Toyota pricing is that most of these 'higher end' vehicles MSRP at invoice + 10%. It is a rough guide for other models.
