I have a 98' with 110K - I have noticed in the last year that at times when I change the climate controls, specifically the center dial to direct the air from defrost mode to other locations, that there is a delay.

I can change the dial - but the air doesn't change locations and the green light doesn't change either??

The fan works - different speeds are achieved and green light moves when I change the dial - just not the location.

Is the car monitoring something like temperature before it will accept the input and change the location.

This seems to happen when it's a bit colder -

Any ideas?

i know that some of the newer models have an "Auto" setting that when you switch to it, it is delayed because it will wait until the thermostat has opened. so when the air dose turn on it is at the temp you want it at
