Ford Reflex Concept - 1.4L Turbodiesel engine, scissor-opening doors, 65 MPG, possible Scion competitor

Reflex is a technological showcase with its advanced diesel-electric hybrid engine - delivering up to 65 miles per gallon - solar panels, flexible interior made from synthetic and regenerated materials, and such advanced safety features as inflatable safety belts in the rear.

The concept underscores Ford's intent to offer bold, American designs regardless of vehicle size.

Ford F-250 Super Chief concept - runs on hydrogen, E85 flex-fuel, and gasoline with a supercharged V-10...runs for 500 miles between fill-ups

The tri-fuel flexibility is one possible innovation by Ford to help pave the way for hydrogen vehicles, as the nation's ethanol and hydrogen fueling infrastructure continues to develop.

The concept truck and its name are inspired by the bold, American Super Chief trains of the nation's past. Super Chief is Ford's most advanced, well-appointed pickup ever - designed to build on the standard for interior excellence established by the new F-150.

woah i think some of those designs are a tad extreme and will definately be modified before production.
The only ones that will be toned down are the Super Chief and Reflex since both are concepts. The Enclave is technically a concept, but I have a feeling it will remain pretty true to the design when ready for production this Fall. The Edge, Tahoe, and Escalade are production models.

Edit...I can't believe I completely left out the...

...Chevrolet Camaro concept

First... dsmnick, haven't seen you much around these parts lately so glad you're back:thumbup:

Second... Ford and GM have some awesome concepts this year. Speaking as a diehard 'Stanger, I am in love with the Camaro. If this, and the new Challenger, come out, then Ford will find its ponycar behind the curve that it established. It's seriously like 1970 all over again!
That Camaro concept rules over everthing....damn it's sweet. And with the Challenger rumored to come back, it's a good time to be a car guy/girl. There's no doubt that the rebirth of the muscle car is the next automotive trend.

But the bitch of it is, the Mustang will still out sell the new Camaro and Challenger 2 to 1 combined. Friggin Mustangs can bite my ass....
I'm liking the new Camaro... Hopefully the American Muscle Cars will make a come back...
The Enclave's dash is a rip-off of the BMW 3 series, and it's exterior looks like a Lucerne station wagon.........YAWN. The Camaro doesn't look bad, though.

BTW, I'm indirectly copying all the negative posts people are saying on GMI, C&G etc. ,about the beautiful new LS which rapes anything the domestics have.....
camaro looks better than the new charger. god the charger dissapointed me.
stll american made pieces of shit, lol. except the camaro- that looks sweet!

I'm a die-hard 'Stang fan too, but I absolutely love the new Camaro and Challenger. I can already smell the burning rubber and hear the V8 roar from those two. I hope Ford has a plan in place to update the Mustang before these two come out (supposed to be around 2008/2009)...the Mustang looks so tame now compared to them. Even the Shelby GT-500 could use a dose of aggressiveness in the front fascia.

Here's some real-life Edge pics I just found. First the Fusion, now this...Ford is on the ball for new product releases. They'll sell as many of these as they can build, IMHO. The panoramic sunroof alone will sell it, especially being on a mainstream model.

Overall I'm very impressed. The Enclave looks stunning, the Edge has a near-perfect interior, the Reflex is like a breath of fresh air, and the Tahoe Hybrid sounds like a good vehicle for those who need to haul a lot of people but are still concerned about fuel economy.

But I'm still undecided about the Camaro. I'm getting sick of retro designs, personally.

:boink: :boink: :boink: the Camaro.
those models look pretty good, but they will probably look better in person :nana:

i recorded an autoshow preview video that was on live tonight, and hopefully i will get it encoded and uploaded by tuesday or so.
And more just released...

Lincoln MKS - 4.4L V8, 315 HP, 6-speed auto, AWD (Lincoln is moving toward an alphanumeric naming system, unfortunately). It also features a new type of sequential headlight system that illuminates the outer lights as your go around a curve when turning the wheel.

Lincoln MKX - Fall 2006 release, Duratec 35 V6 standard (probably tuned higher than 250 HP since the Edge gets 250). Features headlights that turn in the direction of curves.

This thing looks like a buttered up early 90s Caravan in front and looks like a Carerra in the back. I hate it.

I can see the minivan reference in the overall shape (it is a CUV after all), but the grille is straight off the '64 Continental. Caravan was not the inspiration.
