This looks like the reverse camera only. Nothing about this looks "birds eye". The description is misleading.

The visible half of the instructions page describes mounting cameras under the side mirrors and the open box appears to show two quarter-sized cameras. My questions would be how the cameras are wired. Is this what the factory cameras look like for this system? It would have been helpful if they included at least a photograph of the entire installation instructions.

Any update on this?

I called up a couple of dealers and all of them say Birdview camera setup can't be added onto the Highlander Limited.
The dealers don't even bother to check the VIN # or anything. Google search didn't return an results either.
Let me know if anyone found out if this is possible.

I'm also curious about this. Not having front parking sensors or the bird's eye system is the only thing I dislike about the 2016 vs. newer highlanders. It wasn't worth paying a few thousand more $$ to me, but sure would be nice to have. Does anyone else have any insights on this?

Birds eye view is not just cameras. It takes a computer program to combine the 4 video feeds into one generated overhead birds eye view.

correct, but that program to combine the video feed is handled by a unit that comes with the package, one thing that you got to do is tune it after installation. I checked at some auto shops and they quoted about 2.5k to add an after market unit.
