ok, i'm looking to get some wheels, i was lookin at some 5zigen FN01R-C...

ok new question. would 17x9 stick out of the sides of a cam too much? the offset is +43mm. but would it be jutting out the side of the fenders?

i was gonna do 17x8 up front and 17x9 out bak..my question was, would 17x9 be too wide and look goofy on the rear?

Why r u putting wider tires on the rear? Unless your camry is rear wheel drive your just screwing up the handeling.

The only time you need to stager the tires width is if your putting out high power, which I don't think u r.:lol:

Not to mention you put the wider tires on the driving wheels.:slap:

Well, having wider tires in the rear will help the rear with traction right? Wouldn't it prevent the rear from coming out easier?

The purpose of using larger wheels/tires is mainly to increase the contact patch on the road. This is why FWD drag cars have a larger setup in front and RWD cars have a larger setup out back.

In addition, you could not reuse the same set of wheels for a S14 later on because the S14 (being a RWD car) has a different offset compared to a FWD Camry. The bolt circle might match, but the offset does not. You might want to consider spacers if you really wanted to reuse the wheels on the S14, but you will be spending more money to get spacers.

Doing the proposed setup will defeat your purpose overall, because at the end, you will be spending money you really do not have to.

Your setup will mess up your handling, then you will be forced to end up replacing the wider pair with what you should have bought in the first place.... :disappoin

17x 9's will probably rub unless you roll the fender or make your Camry widebody. But why are you even trying to stuff such wide tires on a Camry? 17x 8's will look wide enough.

He may not be doing it for drag purposes (I don't think he plans on draging his wagon "lol"). But for looks purpose. The car would look imbalanced with large tires on the front. and small ones on the back.

And since when have Camry's been known to do this? If you do anything, put 17x8 in front, 17x7 in back.
