differential vs. transmission.

I have two main questions:

1)
I'm reading this thread, and this man seems to say that some cars have transmission oils in different compartments:

I have a corolla 99, and I'm wondering if by following this procedure, i would be able to fully gentlely flush all transmission fluids:

2)
Does Differential fluid = transmission oil?

Thanks,

Many trans models have a separate fluid reservoir, the Camry 4 cylinder A140 trans is one. Look behind the diff housing that faces the firewall for a filler plug. There is a drain plug under the diff.

Don't drain the diff until you are sure you can unbolt the filler plug.

You can use the cooler hose flush method, need about 10 quarts.

On Toyota autotrans diff fluid typically equals trans fluid. If a 99 this would be Dexron III, red in color. The fluid type is printed on the dipstick.
do you have a 3 speed or a 4 speed autortagic or a 5 speed stick shift?
on a 3 and 5 speed i think the Diff and trans fluids are seperate. whereas on a 4 speed they're all together
I believe i have an auto 4 speed. i do have the Overdrive button.

4 speeds the tranny and diff fluid are an all-in-one deal. Dex III ATF
