I just installed my LED bulbs that I had from my 4Runner from LasFit for the blinkers. The 4Runner bulbs were used for the parking lights as well on the front, but they will work just fine for just blinkers too. The rear were just blinkers which matches the Ebay/Amazon link below for them.

Make note, the OEM bulbs are dual filament 7443, some models use only one filament so to be safe just use the 7443.

Tools:
1 - 10mm Socket
1 - Short Extension
1 - Rachet or small impact driver.
1 - Plastic Pry tool
2 - LasFit or Sirius LED bulbs with built in resistors for front.

Updated: use these bulbs instead of lasfit. These have shown to be more reliable and no hyper flash. AUXITO 7440 7443 Anti Hyper Flash Amber LED Turn Signal Light Error Free

Purchase lasfit from Ebay (offer $10 less and they usually accept).

2. Remove the plastic shroud that covers the two 10mm bolts for the taillight.

3. Remove the two top 10mm bolts.

4. Pop the headlight back towards the rear of the car. It will release suddenly with some force. Once removed, be careful to not hit your paint with any sharp edges. The grey socket, twist it counter clockwise to remove it from the housng and pull out.

5. Once out, replace the factory bulb with one of the LED LasFit bulbs from above by pulling it straight out and push in the new one.

6. Once replaced, put it back in the housing, and twist it clockwise to lock. Next put the wiring back in its slot to hold it out of the way on the back of the housing, and then push the housing back into the slot of the car making sure you catch the front plastic hook with the front of the light. It'll snap back in.

7. Put the two 10mm bolts back in and tighten it down. Once complete, Put the shroud cover back on the same way it came off.

Done. Here is a complete picture and video.

Did you use 7440 for both front and rear? Fronts call for the dual filament or voltage 7444. Lower voltage never gets used since only flashers on on the Platimum Highlander. Lower yellows do not come on with park lights i believe

I had two different ones because my 4Runner had the fronts used as blinkers/parking lights, so that was a 7443 I had. The rear on the 4Runner had 7440. So I used those as well. Both work just fine. The Highlander only uses one filament on the 7443 so it is a waste to buy a dual filament bulb. You can use both and both work just fine. Both front and rear bulbs are only used as blinkers, no parking lights. 7440 works fine.

I clicked on the Amazon link and that lasfit brand says does not fit 2020 Highlander?
As long as it’s a 7440 or 7443 it fits. Never trust amazon. I’ve had things it say fit and don’t many times.

So blinding the guy behind you is fair game?.. Legal??
Factory led oem blinkers are just as bright from manufactures.

There is OEM bright.. and DIY bright.. and some of those might be impressive to the owner.. but blind the guy behind you. Much like the lights on emergency/police vehicles.. gets your attention but if they force you into the ditch or run over a pedestrian..
We’ve had both and both are as bright as each other.

I installed the same ones. Very bright. I like the LEDs. You can definitely tell which ones are LEDs and which are halogen. Thanks for the post. I don't think I would have figured out that the plastic piece just pops off to get to the bolts. Took less than 20 min to install.
