Well, I recently solved (hopefully) this trouble and it is quite simple and ridiculous. I read a lot of posts, watched some you-tubes and there is a lot of complicated stuff you can try, but there is an easy place to start. If someone has this issue unresolved, post here and I'll bore you with the details.

You responded to a one year old post, so it's unlikely he'll answer.
Why not start a new post with details of your problem, you'll be more likely to get a response.

same prob with a 1990 3.0 V-6.....solved

I have a 1990 3.0 v6 with same problem so any input may help. Would love to hear it
I had the same problem and it was with the warm engine idle. The engine when first started idled fine when it was cold...steady 1,200rpm. When it warmed up the idle would drop as it should and then start surging between 700-1,100rpm.

The engine ran perfectly fine and the emissions passed smog in California in this condition.

Long story short, it boiled down to a bad distributor.
