Our Venza has developed a few scuffs on the top portion of the rear bumper, due to items being drug out of the hatch area. I was thinking of getting this rear bumper protector, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any experiences with it. Please post pictures if anyone has this installed.

I have the rear bumper protector installed on a Mag Gray Metallic V6 Venza and it looks good. Fits nicely, doesn't break up the lines/color on the back end...and as you've found out, prevents all of those scratches/scuffs when loading/unloading. I'll see if i have a pic, if so, and post.

We ordered our 2009 Venza with this bumper protector, it fits well, looks good and does a great job of protecting the bumper. It does not seem to have any damage on it in spite of lots of cargo/dogs with sharp toe nails. Seems to be a first rate, necessary accessory. Wyovenza

Thanks for the replies. I have scoured the Internet and these appear to be cheap. This will likely be my next purchase.

Edit: just made my purchase! I'll post if its anything other than straightforward - I don't expect any problems.

We bought our Venza the first of May and by the third day of ownership there was a scuff mark on the bumper. I was going to order one online, but decided to check with our Toyota dealer on a whim. Lo and behold they were much cheaper on price! They sold me one for 29.00--it does not have "Venza" stamped on it though and I really wanted that, but for half price I was okay ;). It did come in a clear plastic wrap with all the Toyota stickers on the bag and one said it was a genuine Toyota part from SE Toyota Distribution. I was assuming it was a "knock off" initially.

Note---make sure you are not having cocktails when installing the pad! Mine is slightly askew.

this is the protector i just put on are Venza last week looks and works great and was cheep

This is the same one the dealer installed on our new venza (2010) when we bought it. They don't install them at the factory, but are done by the dealer. I'm glad I got this one instead of the one with venza on it. I like it because I think it's easier to clean. I ordered it with the car and it was a $50 option.

I am glad to have this and I was willing to pay more for it! Every car we have owned that did not have some sort of protection on top of the bumper has been scratched and scuffed. I was very happy when I found these were available.

One note--on the one I got, there was actually a tiny arrow molded into the plastic, dead center, that I assume is to be used to center it on the bumper. Of course I did not see this until AFTER the fact :). Also, the adhesive strips all had enough of a "tail" on the pull offs to be able to have it in position in order to remove adhesive protection.

This was honestly one of the easiest projects I have done in a while...thankfully!

It's almost impossible to see in the photo because the grit looks like the Magnetic Gray metallic specs, but I got a can of the spray on bed liner and painted the entire edge, even up the sides. It has worked out very well and was pretty inexpensive, just a bit of time for masking and spraying.

Maybe it's a Canadian thing but all Venza's here I've seen including mine come with the protector from the factory.

I installed the bumper protector this weekend. I felt the instructions were excellent but I did buy the Venza OEM protector. If anyone is attempting this install be sure to wipe the bumper down with some 3M adhesive remover before installing so it is adhering to a 100% clean surface.

BTW: My wife did help and it was nice to have an extra set of hands.

Thank you!

They had templates for each side and the center. It really was easy.

Hi! I had the one in your picture installed this past Friday at the Dealer. I needed them to look at a few items, and from all the recommendations on this site decided to get one. Since I was there, and not very good with that kind of stuff, I had the Dealer put it on. The one question I have is what is the difference between the all black one and the one with raised gray letters.

Do you have a picture of the one with the raised Gray letters? I don't know if I have seen it. If anything it may have slightly different dimensions. There really isn't too much they can change about it :)
