I have a 2000 Celica GTS with the triptronic automatic and found out the other day that it has a speed governer and a fuel regulator that keep from going past 120mph. Does anyone know how to fix or override these or somewhere where i might be able to get help with solving this problem? Any help would be amazing thanks.

Hmm, surprising... My manual 2000 GT deosnt have that problem and tops out at 225 KM/H (140 MP/H).

I think ur best bet would be the ECU - Maybe changing the chip.

Good luck.
yes, you will need to get a greedy e manage ultimate or apexi power fc. man I have an 04 auto gt and I got my car up to 135
If only it was as easy as taking some things out.
A master mechanic will take it off for you if you throw him some cash.
Of course remember what your doing it for.
my mechanic( really good friends) says that he couldnt take the limiter off...nor tell me what its set on. says computer wont tell him. Think hes got a snap on.
Normally a chip will remove the limiter. If you could pull up a wire diagram you could find the kill switch yourself.

If its just a fuel signal that gets lost (the cpu cuts pump power) run your own power line with a tie in to a positive ignition wire that way when you hit the ignition the pump starts as normal.

Or run a switch (toggle or rocker)
wow u hit 120lol. My 01 GTS top speed was 105. got the auto /w manual overiride. Where can i get a wire diagram to find out what wire to splice or cut to override it?

something is wrong with your car, my 7afe corolla AT would pull upto 105 or higher eventually.

really no reason to ever go that fast.
Unless you're doing serious track time, there is no reason to remove the limiter.
I got to street fights at our local drag and race track. No mechanic can figure out whats worng? or why it does that? plus its got other problems. Ive posted them...everything ive tried and peples told me to try dont work lol.
