Can anyone confirm if the 2020 Camry TRD Shift knob will fit 7th gen Camry’s?

My original knob is getting very worn. Ridiculous considering it's an automatic, says a lot about the quality. Anyone know if there's a standard size for replacing? The original is, of course, wildly overpriced.

No. It's designed entirely for the Gen 8. There's a push button at the bottom where the Gen 7 does not have buttons on the shift knob as the lock is released when you press the brake while the car is on.

It screws in fine though but again, there's no way of attaching the shift boot so the metal rod will stick out like a sore thumb.

I've looked into the Lexus F-Sport knobs but I'm not sure the shift boot notches will click into place with it.

No because again
Thanks for the confirmation that the trd shifter won’t fit the 7th gen shift boot xpeed.
What if one bought both the 2020 Shift knob & the 2020 shift boot?

This basically alters my original question to:

Will the 2020 TRD Shift knob & 2020 shift boot fit the 7th gen Camry?

No, because again, there's that "button" issue on the knob and the shift boot will not fit. You're better off buying a universal shift boot and the knob clip from the Gen 8 to make it work in the Gen 7.
I'm pretty sure they don't sell the "clip" separately as it's a one piece part.

IMO, you will spend a lot of time on it and frankly is not worth the $$$ that you will be spending on.

I bought a shift knob and boot for the new TRD Camry and installed it in my 2015 XSE. It’s not plug and play so but I was able to swap the shift boot with my original without too much trouble. Once the boot was on, the knob and boot snap together.

I found a dealer that sold me the knob and boot for under $100 shipped. For the price I’m very pleased with the outcome. It’s not a huge difference, but it looks much more classy.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Just an FYI for anyone interested.
I scraped the top of my shift knob up when I installed my Android head unit.
I found a cheap cover on eBay. Had it on the car almost a year and it is holding up well.
Looks factory too.
