To my embarassment, I drove a front-wheel drive 1986 Toyota Camry SV11 for five years with a 2S-E engine. It would have been a great car if it was rear-wheel drive. The engine was great.
The 2S-E (i.e. fuel injected) engine didn't require periodic valve clearance adjustment because it was fitted with hydraulic lash adjusters.
Do you know whether the 2S-C (i.e. carburettor) engine in the Toyota Corona ST141 requires periodic valve clearance adjustment?
Thanks a lot for your assistance.
