I just scheduled the Camy for some much needed maintainance and they say it will be 635.00 Canadian for Repalcement of the sparkplugs(6 needed),timing Belt Serpentine Belt,oil change and full fuel system flush and one or would it be cheaper to do some of this myself(ie plugs, oil chane fuel system flush)

Is there a DIY for changing the spark plugs on a V6? Cant remember if Ive seen one or not.

I dont know about the 1MZ, but with my 3VZ, I didn't have to remove anything to replace the spark plugs. I used a combination of a 6 inch extension, a 3 inch extension and a swivel adapter for the ratchet.

It was tricky, but I didnt have to remove anything except one bolt in the back, I think it was a brace for the EGR tube...cant remember without looking and I don't feel like getting shoes on right now..lol

Have come across posts on special spark plug removing tools and socket setups to get around having to remove everything to pull the rear plugs. Suggest doing a TN history search.
