i have a 2001 tacoma and the dome light will not come on when the doors open. it was working but the other night it died. i know it not the door switches, bulb, fuses or power going to the bulb. the bulb lights up when in the on position. the door ground wire is no longer grounding to complete the circuit. tested it with a multi meter. was wondering if anyone knew were i could get the wiring diagram for this circuit. any help would be great.. thanks

go and pick up a haynes 1995-04 tacoma, 1996-98 t100 and 95-04 4runner manual from toyota or an auto parts store. it has everything you will ever need in it. I have one and it is my new bible.

It's typical Toyota. I have a Geo Prizm (Corolla), and had a Camry that did the same thing. My Tacoma does it too. I pull the bulb once in a while and it starts working again. Frustrating. But not any more frustrating that the crappy seatbelt retracters that Toyota has used for years! You'd think that they would've fixed that stuff after a while!! :headbang:
