Is there a way to bypass the door locks on a 98 4runner with the key in the ignition and running? I want to be able to warm up my rig and lock the doors at the same time. As long as my key is in the ignition and running the doors won't lock, they just pop back up automatically as soon as I shut the door. HELP its -5* in Alaska and we have thieves that will steal your stuff if its unlocked and running

Yeah, get a spare key cut. Start it with one key, then get out, shut the door, and lock the door manually with the second key. I do it all the time.
