Hello,
Drive a 2013 and I'm having an issue with the driver side door lock.
When I hit the key fob to lock or unlock it will activate all the doors except for the driver side. The same thing happens when I use the lock/unlock button when I am inside the vehicle. (On occasion the driver side lock will work once or twice but then it stops again)

I've heard a couple different things that it could be but would appreciate some input from the forum.

Thanks in advance,
bllunsfo

Common for door lock actuators to fail
Remove actuator and replace its $10 motor is cheaper than replacing the $200 actuator.
Not the most mechanically inclined person. Where can you buy this motor and are there any you tube videos out here showing how its done?

..... just because someone has done it on a video, doesn’t mean it was done right. That’s why I’m here.
LOL...OK. I don't think you've googled em because they are by A1 Auto and others by a mechanic. Not sure why you trust someone here more than a person on video...but I hope you get what you are looking for...

Literally 1A auto does not have a video showing how to replace the "Motor" within the door lock actuator. Just the video on replacing the actuator...which was my original question to "greasymechtech" (Is there a video showing how to replace a motor within the actuator?).....not the actuator its self.
Why even bother responding if you're not trying to help ? That's what these forums are for, not snooty little comments.

I have a problem with your initial post...you aren't helping the forum by posting this: " I've heard a couple different things that it could be but would appreciate some input from the forum."

And then not offering what they are...then asking for help.

Secondly, you didn't even try to look for a video online or for parts on Rockauto. If you did, you may be surprised at what you find for costs and how fairly straightforward this is to open your door and replace. You'd have it easily fixed by now.

If I'm snooty, my apologies. Welcome to the web
