Remove the cover over the mirror and remove the door panel to see if you have a connector that is taped away. My 9tg gen corolla was prewired for the3rd brake light.
Door mirrors with LED signal

I have been wondering if it would be possible to upgrade the basic powered door mirrors on my 2013 Matrix to the OEM mirrors with LED turn signals.
It appears that the Scion XB and XD used the same mirror as Corolla/Matrix and some trims had LED turn signals built in. This should make sourcing the mirrors easy.
Are Corollas and Marixes (Matrices?) pre-wired to power the mirror light? If so this upgrade would be a simple plug and play.
If not, what is required in terms of wiring? Has this been attempted before?
