I have read other post that have similar problems but none that address my problem in its' entirety.
Here's what I have:
2000 Land Cruiser.
Door Open light stays on
Dome lights stay on
When I apply the brakes the lights go out. (This the part that is confusing me)
Any ideas?
Thanks

Update :
Also staying on are the two rear passenger door lights.
I have removed each door switch and checked for serviceability, they're all good.
Checking voltage are each door switch harness there is 12v on the driver side but no voltage on the other door switches.

Also, if there is a switch on the rear door I could not find it.

Had a similar problem with my cruiser, dome and door light would turn on during left turns. All my switches were working properly, however, they must have eroded or been worn down a bit.

I used the little stick on silicon rubber feet/beads that you put on things to prevent them from slipping to make sure the switches were fully engaged. Perhaps you could test if these switches are being pushed down all the way by taping pieces of cardboard over all the switches and seeing if your problem disappears.

Perhaps hitting the brake causes these switches to be fully engaged?
