hello,,im a toyota pickup owner and an offroad enthusiast.. i hadda quick question,, my drivehsaft recently broke and im now looking for another, i've been looking everywhere for another similar to mine but cant find it...i have a 1993 toyota extended cab,, my drivehsaft is the type that supports a carrier bearring in the center, like two seperate driveshaft,,i was told by a firned that the 4runners are the same but when i went looking for some, i notice they all had the straight drivehshaft type without the carrier bearing in the center,, and a single cab dont fit it,,,,, i was going to weld an extension on a single cab drivehshaft but i noticed the circumference of the shaft was smaller but the yokes were the same size,,, will this smaller diameter affect the p[erformance of my vehicle if i go through with the extension?... and also,, can i put a single, straight shaft on instead of the the type with the carrier bearing,.. I NEED TO KNOW A.S.A.P...PLEASE,, HELPME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes u can put a one piece drive shaft in it. measure center of yoke to center of yoke go to a drive line shop and tell them what you have and want. I have seen this mod done many times.

Read your post again, then make some measurements on both.
