driver side CV joint removal

how do i remove the driver side CV joint? i could only remove the pass side. is it held in by something?

i tried using pry bar to pop them out, its held tight.

I do believe you have to undo the bolts holding it to the tranny
if my memory serves me right, 5sfe, driver side is just a plain splined shaft, should yank right out, or come out with some gentle prying

but make sure there aren't 6 allen bolts holdint it to the tranny like the v6, if there are then you need to take those bolts off and it'll come right out
my 4 cylinder diff than v6, theres no allen bolt like it pictured in chilton manual. i trie yankin it out but it seems to be stuck and its hard to pry it out because the end of the shaft does NOT even out w/ surface (like it sits in a bore).

Or you can try sticking the prybar on one of the tabs on the cv and beat it with a hammer.

Either way it pops out.
