My 2006 4cyl camry pulled a code P2195 (bank 1 sensor 1) about 3 weeks ago and I have been putting off replacing it because I thought it only affected my mileage. I have come to find out that it can destroy your cat converter. I have driven almost 1000 miles with it like this. I am taking it in first thing in the morning and haven't driven it anymore since I found out. Is there a good chance I killed my cat converter or did any other major damage to my car by putting off fixing it? :headbang:

If you would have kept going for a while more yes, but 1000 miles isn't too bad.

Ok, that makes me feel better. I wanted to replace it myself to save some money, but I can't find ANYWHERE which sensor is the bank 1 sensor 1, and where it is, on a 2006 Camry, and the service shop is very vague on what it is too, so I guess I'm just going to take it in rather than mess it up and put the wrong sensor in the wrong hole.. arggg. That's the problem with newer cars, not enough info out on them yet.

Baloney and why should the service shop tell you??????

There is a lot of info on them..............

Start with the Service Manual, follow up with this forum in past threads, or the rest of the internet sources........if you can't handle that, then let someone who is knowledgeable fix it.

Precisely my point, why would the shop tell me. The OEM manuals are 100's of dollars, and there are no chilton or hanyes manuals made for them yet. Which manuals are you referring to? The internet is full of infor for other models for this problem, I have yet to find a good source for my year/model. I have been looking high and low, but I may not know a few good sites that you may be aware of. This forum doesn't have any real good info on which sensor that is either.

Yes, I have been looking a lot lately, but since I have 3 little kids, FT job, and go to school, I only get about 10 minutes at a time to sit in front of the computer.
