Hey whats up everyone,

I have a 96 Tacoma auto 2X4 and the mechanic said that my transmission oil was dark and smell smokey. He wants $150 to flush it out not replacing anything. Is this a good idea? and How hard is it to change the the rear brakes and if there a manual out there that you guys recommend. Trying to learn how to do it myself to save some money.

Thanks

i say get the haynes manual very helpful, i think the 96 are still drum brakes if not and they are disk then it's super easy, back breaks are litle harder if drum because you have to have a special tool to compress the springs that hold them in. you can call other places and ask how much for a tranny flush i think i got quoted around 60 from toyota for my camry.
